Restorative Yoga

Yoga training can be an intense workout and as slow-paced as you like. But unlike the dynamic sessions, restorative yoga sessions are gentle and passive. So our restorative yoga program mostly focuses on deep relaxation and restoration. It involves holding poses for extended periods, usually supported by props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks. Our expert’s primary goal here is to create a soothing and supportive environment for the clients, which allows the body to fully relax and the mind to enter a state of calmness and tranquillity.

In today’s fast-paced and demanding world, finding moments of deep relaxation and rejuvenation is essential for our overall well-being. Our Restorative Yoga program is specifically designed to help you unwind, release tension, and restore your mind and body balance. We use gentle and supported postures to engage you in restorative yoga.

Major restorative yoga asanas in our program

Upavistha Bitilasana Marjaryasana

Also known as Seated Cat-Cow Pose, this restorative asana gently stretches the spine, opens the chest, and releases tension in the back and shoulders.

Viparita Karani

This restorative pose, also called Legs-Up-the-Wall Pose, involves lying on your back with your legs extended vertically against a wall. Viparita Karani is deeply calming and rejuvenating, allowing for improved blood circulation, reduced swelling in the legs and feet, and a sense of grounding.

Paschimottanasana

It is known as the supported forward bend pose, which involves sitting with legs extended and folding forward to reach the toes or beyond. It gently stretches the spine, hamstrings, and calves, promoting relaxation and releasing tension in the lower back. Paschimottanasana stimulates the abdominal organs, improves digestion, and calms the mind.

Supta Baddha Konasana

This asana, Reclining Bound Angle Pose or Butterfly Pose, involves reclining on your back with the soles of your feet together, allowing the knees to fall open. It releases tension in the hips and groin, opens the chest, and promotes deep relaxation. The asana can reduce anxiety, alleviate menstrual discomfort, and stimulate the abdominal organs.

Balasana

Its Child's Pose is a restorative posture that provides a sense of surrender and comfort when you kneel and fold forward with the forehead resting on the floor or a prop to release tension in the back, shoulders, and neck.
