I am the owner and creator of Soul Body Balance. Nice to meet you! Let me tell you a little about my story…

Yoga, meditation, and natural therapies have intermittently been my hobbies for many years. However, it wasn’t until they profoundly impacted my life that I realized their transformative potential. Amid the hectic pace of life, we often overlook our own bodies—the sole place we truly inhabit. I found myself caught in this trap, juggling the responsibilities of raising two beautiful children as a single mother. It wasn’t until I faced the harsh reality of my health deteriorating that I awakened to the consequences.

Struggling with the demands of daily life, I failed to recognize the toll it took on my well-being. Eventually, I was diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and panic attacks. After a few years, my body reached a breaking point, and I found myself confined to bed, grappling with chronic pain and fatigue every day. That’s when my doctor informed me that I was also dealing with fibromyalgia—an unwelcome addition, courtesy of the relentless stress and worries I had endured.
It was at that moment that I recognized the urgency of taking action, prompting me to explore every conceivable option for self-healing. I delved into various treatments and natural therapies, seeking relief to perform even the simplest daily tasks. It was during this quest that I began uncovering the wonders of yoga and its potential benefits.
Driven by the desire to enhance my understanding and share the transformative power of yoga, I pursued qualifications in personal training in Australia. Despite the formidable challenges posed by my medical conditions, I persevered and extended my journey to Rishikesh, India, where I obtained further qualifications in yoga to become a certified yoga instructor. The path to securing these credentials was arduous, but I remained undeterred because this endeavor represented my final beacon of hope.

Residing in Rishikesh and pursuing my yoga qualifications proved to be a transformative experience that significantly altered the course of my life. The extensive curriculum exposed me to a wealth of knowledge about yoga, encompassing meditation, breathing techniques, and their associated benefits. Our philosophy classes underscored the profound understanding that yoga transcends mere physical postures; it is, indeed, a holistic life journey. Although the daily commitment to several hours of yoga proved physically demanding, the rewards reaped at the end of each day were undeniably fulfilling.

Upon returning home, I established a routine of engaging in yoga and meditation, gradually increasing my practice while staying within my pain threshold. Meditation seamlessly integrated into my daily life, becoming a powerful tool for managing stress and worries. As my stress levels diminished, so did my physical pain. I now experience a heightened sense of calm, relaxation, and increased energy. Since adopting this lifestyle, I am grateful for the opportunity to not only aid my own recovery but also to support others facing similar challenges.

It’s essential to note that throughout this journey, I continued taking my prescribed medications. While I gradually transitioned towards natural treatments, it’s crucial to emphasize that this account does not advocate discontinuing medical treatments or medications without consulting a healthcare professional.

FINALLY I SAID, “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!”

..until one day I said to myself: “I am a Personal Trainer, and I have extensive background in creating exercise routines for many types of people, so I should be able to to create something that works well for me, right?” And so I got to work! I started studying medical journals and researched the right way to exercise for all of my various conditions, that could also be fun, challenging and effective. Through much trial and error I had finally come up with my own workouts that did all of that and much to my surprise…
…they started working even better than I had imagined! I started to feel stronger, more energized, and I even started losing a few stubborn pounds – all without having to do high intensity moves or using heavy weights! I knew that if I was searching for this, others out there like myself must also be searching as well… so that’s when I started sharing my workouts with the world on YouTube and Facebook. Comments started flooding in about how the workouts were actually helping people with chronic pain and fatigue! In just a few weeks people were able to change the way they looked and felt, so I knew it was time to turn this experiment into my dream job – to help this specific group of people that had no hope, and so, Yoga Therapy with Toneet was born!
